Knaus Apple Ranch has grown Red and Golden Delicious apples on the same Tehachapi hillside since 1970. The family still runs the pick-your-own orchard themselves, along with a barn store stocked with cider, pies, and jam made from the harvest. It's open weekends only, Saturday and Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., during apple season.
