The Hillcrest Farmers Market is San Diego's original and largest farmers market, drawing over 10,000 visitors to more than 175 vendors every Sunday from 9 AM to 2 PM, rain or shine. Open since April 1997, the market pairs locally grown produce — much of it organic or pesticide-free — with international hot food, flowers, crafts, live music, and a frequent-shopper punch card program, currently on University Avenue while its permanent Normal Street Promenade home is built.
