About Highwater Farm
On 3.5 acres in the Colorado River valley near Silt, Highwater Farm grows vegetables for a 120-member CSA that runs 18 weeks, sells at the New Castle Farmers Market, and supplies wholesale accounts. Fifteen percent of what they grow goes to local food pantries. The farm also runs a paid job-training program for local teens, treating food access and youth employment as the same project.
