Hedrick Exotic Animal Farm keeps more than 30 species from six continents on pasture outside Nickerson, including giraffes, kangaroos, zebras, camels, ostriches, and giant tortoises. Guided hour-long tours let visitors feed and touch many of the animals, and the on-site bed and breakfast books animal-themed rooms with an evening and morning tour included for overnight guests. Drivers on K-96 can also see animals from the road.
