About Hallock's U-Pick
Hallock's U-Pick is a pick-your-own vegetable farm in New Egypt, New Jersey, run by Doug and Charlie Hallock on land their grandfather bought in 1949. U-pick strawberries come in mid-May, followed by beans, tomatoes, peppers, eggplant and potatoes through summer, while collards, kale and turnip greens run from spring until fall. The fields also grow bitterballs, jute leaves and sweet potato leaves. The farm market sells fresh-picked produce, local honey, jams, jellies, salsa and canning supplies.
