Craig and Cydney Kritzer founded Frogtown in 1998 on 57 acres at the foot of the Appalachians, and the winery now farms 40 of those acres in the Dahlonega Plateau AVA using only Georgia-grown grapes. A tri-level gravity-flow building presses the fruit without pumps. The cellar has picked up more than 500 medals at California competitions, and an Italian bistro on-site serves lunch and dinner alongside tastings.
