Gary and Jan Engel planted their first vines here in 2009, five years after buying the Ellijay hillside, and opened the tasting room in 2014. Georgia named it Winery of the Year in 2018, and the cellar has since collected more than 20 awards. The pour list runs from bone-dry reds to dessert-sweet whites, served in a European-style room with mountain views. Live music plays most weekends, and both kids and dogs are welcome on the patio.
