Ekar Farm at DAT

About This Farm

Ekar Farm grew from a single plot at the Denver Academy of Torah, planted in 2011 after founder Amy Berkowitz Caplan attended a food justice conference. The nonprofit urban farm grows toward a yearly goal of 20,000 pounds of produce donated to food-access partners across metro Denver, and in 2025 relocated to a 2.86-acre site at Shalom Park in Aurora.
