Dot Family Farms opens its pumpkin fields on weekends through October with no admission charge. Visitors pick their own from the patch or grab pre-gathered pumpkins and pie pumpkins near the stand, and kids run the hay-bale maze. The Nodaway County farm also sells homegrown vegetables and books weekday visits for schools and birthday parties by appointment. It's on Highway 46 just outside Maryville.
