About Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead

The City of Overland Park has run Deanna Rose Children's Farmstead since 1978, recreating a turn-of-the-century Kansas farm across 12 acres. Kids can ride ponies, take a horse-drawn wagon around the grounds, and watch dairy barn demonstrations alongside a one-room schoolhouse exhibit. The farmstead also offers sensory-friendly early admission on the first Tuesday of the month from May through August, 8 to 9 a.m., before general crowds arrive.
