The Heald family has run Country Blossom Farm on 100 acres beside Interstate 94 outside Alexandria since 2009. They grow 15-plus apple varieties and press their own cider, both fresh and hard, and the bakery turns out donuts, hand pies, and take-and-bake pies. Fall brings a pumpkin patch, seven-acre corn maze, u-pick apples and raspberries, plus a giant jumping pillow, corn pit, and pedal-cart track. Strawberry u-pick runs earlier in the season.
