About Comanche Acres Iris Gardens
Comanche Acres Iris Gardens grows more than 2,000 named tall bearded iris varieties, plus over 200 spuria irises, across about 8 acres near Gower in northwest Missouri. Owner Jim Hedgecock has run the nursery for more than four decades, shipping rhizomes and a specialty iris fertilizer nationwide. The display gardens bloom in spring, when visitors can walk the rows and mark favorites to order for late-summer shipping.
