Cobble Knoll Orchard grows more than 80 apple varieties on East Road in Benson, in Vermont's Rutland County near the New York line. Alongside pick-your-own apples, pears, and peaches, the farm presses fresh cider and sells donuts, pies, pumpkins, squash, sunflowers, cut flowers, and maple syrup. The season runs late August through late October, open daily 9am to 5pm. It's a full fall stop in the quiet farmland of western Vermont.
