Chesebrough Farm runs as a working cattle ranch outside Templeton the rest of the year, then opens every October for pumpkins. Bob and Donna Chesebrough grow more than 60 varieties of pumpkins and winter squash — traditional orange, warty, striped, and every odd shape between — sold from a roadside stand alongside a pumpkin cannon and custom-scarred pumpkins ordered ahead for messages or logos. School groups and specialty tours run by appointment. Open daily 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., October only.
