Buttonwood Farm switched from dairying to ice cream in 1975 and now churns more than 50 flavors in small batches at the Griswold farm, served in cones made fresh daily. Every July the fields fill with sunflowers for the farm's Sunflowers for Wishes fundraiser benefiting Make-A-Wish, and fall brings a seven-acre corn maze and pick-your-own pumpkins. The farm also raises its own pasture-raised beef and pork.
