Bourne Farm's fall Pumpkin Fest runs on a 1775 farmstead overlooking Crocker Pond, preserved by the nonprofit Salt Pond Areas Bird Sanctuaries since 1979. Families walk the fields and woodland trails to pick their own pumpkins, and the Shining Sea Bikeway cuts right through the property for anyone arriving by bike. The farmhouse is on the National Register of Historic Places. Free parking, leashed dogs welcome outside event days.
