Beech Hill Farm works 73 organic acres at 171 Beech Hill Road in Mount Desert, minutes from the College of the Atlantic campus that has owned the farm since 1999. Barbarina and Aaron Heyerdahl founded it in 1989; the farmstand runs May through November, Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 4pm, selling vegetables and pasture-raised meat with a sliding-scale CSA.
