The Beardsley family has farmed this Shelton land since 1849 and has pressed cider commercially here since 1999. Pick-your-own apples run weekends in September and October, backed by pre-picked apples, peaches, plums, and nectarines, plus cider donuts, pies, and jams from the farm store, open daily 10 to 5:30 from August through Christmas. Weekend visitors after 11 a.m. can also buy unpasteurized cider by the jug for home fermenting.
