About Averill Farm
Averill Farm is a tenth-generation family orchard on a hilltop in Washington Depot, Connecticut, growing more than 100 apple varieties, some of them heirlooms. Pick-your-own apples and pears run in September and October, and the farm stand is open daily from mid-August through Thanksgiving. The stand sells the farm's apples and pears with mums, maple syrup, honey, eggs, squash and pumpkins, plus its own cider, cider donuts, jams and pies. A new corn maze sits next to the orchard, with tickets sold at the stand.
