Get DirectionsAbout This Farm
Assawaga Farm broke ground on raw land in Putnam's Quiet Corner in 2016, building a barn and greenhouse from scratch. The certified-organic operation grows Japanese vegetable varieties, herbs, flowers, and fruit using hand-powered, no-till methods. The farmstand opens Saturdays, 9am to noon, from mid-May through late November, and SNAP benefits are accepted. The name comes from an original Nipmuc word for the nearby Five Mile River.
