About ASAP (Appalachian Sustainable Agriculture Project)

ASAP is the Asheville nonprofit behind Appalachian Grown, the certification that labels food grown or raised within about 100 miles of the mountains. The group connects Western North Carolina farms with local buyers, runs the ASAP Farmers Market in Asheville, publishes the annual Local Food Guide, and organizes the yearly Farm Tour and Business of Farming Conference. It's a gateway to the region's farms rather than a farm itself.
