Brian Fredericksen founded Ames Farm in 1994 and now tends roughly 450 hives across 20 bee yards in central Minnesota. The honey is raw, unheated, and single-source — separate batches of basswood, buckwheat, and wildflower rather than one blended jar — plus honeycomb, creamed honey, and beeswax candles. Ames Farm's basswood honey has won multiple blue ribbons at the Minnesota State Fair.
