Chaffin Family Orchards has farmed the same Butte County ground since 1924, now run by the third generation across roughly 2,000 acres of permaculture-based orchard and pasture. The farm grows more than 40 heirloom fruit varieties, presses an award-winning extra virgin Mission olive oil, and raises grassfed Angus cattle alongside sheep, goats, and chickens that supply pastured eggs. Farm tours run by appointment, and the orchard sells jams and other preserves made from its own fruit.
