About 5Heart Earthworm Farm
5Heart Earthworm Farm is a worm farm in Birch Run, Michigan, that turns food scraps collected from homes and businesses into worm castings sold as a soil amendment. Owner Sarah Archer moved from home worm composting to worm farming in 2013 and started the farm with her husband Darrell, and in 2022 operations moved into a larger building called the Worm Barn. Castings sell online and at the farm on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons in summer, with free farm tours during retail hours. The farm also runs composting and worm bin workshops, day camps and school presentations.
