Haysville

Bergmann's has grown pumpkins on this Haysville farm for more than 30 years and cut its first corn maze in 2001. The maze has since grown to 15 acres, the largest cut in the Wichita area, with inflatables, a trike track, tunnels, pony rides, and carnival games spread around it. There's no gate fee, but individual activities are priced separately.

Mr. Gourdman's Pumpkin Patch operates on a working horse ranch in Derby, built around a 15-acre lake where visitors can fish, paddle a canoe or kayak, or wander the corn maze. Owner Gary Bussart also books the grounds for reunions, celebrations of life and school field trips. Admission runs $10 a person, with a discount for city employees, first responders and military.

Clearwater

David and Debbie Klausmeyer run an actual dairy operation outside Clearwater, and their fall pumpkin patch grew up around it — dairy barn tours are part of the visit, not an afterthought. Beyond U-pick pumpkins, from carving-size down to sugar pie, there's a petting zoo, zip lines, pig races, and fossil digs. Admission runs $9 on weekdays and $11 on weekends; kids two and under get in free.

Andover

Marietta Farm runs its pumpkin patch in Andover from late September through Halloween, with a corn crib, a grass maze, pumpkin cannons, a petting zoo and train rides for kids. Late November brings a full turn: the same grounds become a Christmas tree lot selling premium cut and artificial trees. It's become a regular fall and holiday stop for Wichita-area families.

Rose Hill

Meadowlark Farm Orchard and Cidery east of Wichita in Rose Hill is a peach and apple orchard, pumpkin patch, and hard cidery open year-round — pick strawberries, peaches, apples, and pumpkins in season, then relax in the tap room with hard cider or homemade root beer. The farm makes its own jams, salsas, apple butter, and mustard, and offers picnic shelters, a playground, and a disc golf course over hill, dale, and creek.

Augusta

Applejack Pumpkin Patch & Event Barn sits about six miles east of Wichita and three miles east of Andover, off Highway 54/Kellogg. Beyond the fall pumpkin patch and corn maze, it runs a Christmas tree farm, a spring Easter egg hunt, wine walks, live music, and a farmers market, and hosts weddings and graduation parties.
