After Thanksgiving the farm switches to cut-your-own Virginia pine, Leyland cypress, and Carolina Sapphire, plus pre-cut firs shipped from Oregon and North Carolina and a gift shop of handmade wreaths.

Sapulpa

Cedar Bluff Raspberries grows u-pick raspberries and garden vegetables on Stanfield Road in Sapulpa, southwest of Tulsa. The farm opens for the June-into-July raspberry window and runs early, from about 6:30 a.m. to dusk Monday through Saturday, to beat the heat. Raspberries ripen fast and pick out quickly, so early birds do best.

Sapulpa

Meadow Blackberry Farm grows thornless Natchez blackberries on a trellis system in Sapulpa, run by Norman and Pat Asher on the family homestead. More than 2,000 plants make for easy picking, and the University of Arkansas variety is large and sweet. The u-pick season runs June and July on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. Call ahead, since the farm's status can change season to season.

Bixby

Don and Joyce Carmichael opened Carmichael's Produce in 1976, and the Bixby stand on South Mingo Road still runs year-round, seven days a week. They grow tomatoes, watermelon, squash, cucumbers, cantaloupe, and okra, and stock homemade fudge and peanut brittle, pecans, and Amish jams and pickles. Come fall, the pumpkin patch at 171st and Mingo opens from late September through Halloween.

Broken Arrow

Lands End Blueberry Farm grows blueberries at 700 S 241st E Avenue in Broken Arrow, in the Tulsa metro. Oklahoma blueberry season generally runs from June into July, and farms like this often open for pick-your-own during those weeks. Liberty-mounds

Endicott Farms is a u-pick blueberry and blackberry farm about 30 minutes south of Tulsa in Liberty-Mounds, growing close to a dozen berry varieties. Blueberries open the season in late spring, with blackberries following by mid-June; buckets and bags are provided. The farm also sells seasonal pecans. Picking hours run Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday mornings.

Broken Arrow

Thunderbird Berry Farm has grown blueberries on more than 15 acres in Broken Arrow since 2005, now run by the third generation of the Hansen family. The main draw is u-pick blueberries and blackberries, picked Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday mornings from 7 until noon, but the farm also cuts u-pick flowers and sells grass-fed Angus beef and honey. The blueberry season typically wraps by early July, so timing matters.

Claremore

Canyon Berry Farm runs a u-pick blueberry operation on South Dickerson Drive in Claremore, open Tuesday through Saturday from 7am to 1pm across the late-May-through-July season.
