Sandpoint

A grassroots nonprofit market in Farmin Park in downtown Sandpoint, running Saturdays 9am–1pm and Wednesdays 3–5:30pm, May through October. Locally grown produce, baked goods, prepared food and handmade crafts fill the park, with live music most weeks — about 24 weeks of season a year on the shore of Lake Pend Oreille.

A small market at the Hope Memorial Community Center on Wellington Place, near Centennial Road off Highway 200 on the north shore of Lake Pend Oreille. Vendors sell fresh fruit, herbs, plants, vegetables, soap, jam, cut flowers, baked goods and prepared foods. No SNAP, WIC or card payment — cash only, so plan ahead.

Bonners Ferry

Running since 1980, this is one of the older markets in Idaho's Panhandle. Saturdays 8am–1pm, April through October, at 6400 Kootenai St., with produce growers, bakers, soapmakers, woodworkers and fiber artists filling the lot. The market is run by a volunteer board and leans hard on the phrase "Cultivating Community" — and after 45 seasons, it's earned it.

Troy

Held Fridays from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., May through September, at the Troy Museum & Visitors Center on Highway 2 in Montana's far northwest corner. Vendors sell locally grown starter plants and seeds, produce, cut flowers, honey, and baked and canned goods. Most take cash and cards; some accept SNAP, EBT, and WIC. The market connects Troy-area growers directly with shoppers in a town of about a thousand people.
