Nixon and their son, Capt. Thomas Nixon, Jr. built the house, c. 1787, across the road, that still stands. The land remained in the Nixon family until Margaret Welch assumed ownership in the early 1900’s.

Wild Robbins Farm raised pastured pork and chicken, plus seasonal lamb and turkey, on a first-generation family farm in Sherborn, twenty miles outside Boston. Laura Robbins and her family started it in 2019 and sold direct at the farm, at area farmers markets, and through small stores. The farm closed in 2024; the family now runs Fireside Tavern Sherborn instead, a restaurant on the same land.
