Pick-your-own strawberries run a short window from mid-June into early July, before the orchard closes to prep for apple season. Little Hill Berry Farm is one of the few certified-organic pick-your-own berry farms in Minnesota, on 320th Street West outside Northfield, about 45 minutes south of the Twin Cities. The season opens with a plant sale in May, moves to u-pick blueberries and currants in July, and finishes with pre-picked strawberries and raspberries in August and September.

Lorence's Berry Farm is a fifth-generation family farm on County Road 23 between Apple Valley and Northfield, Minnesota, with pre-picked asparagus from May, u-pick and pre-picked strawberries from mid-June, and raspberries running into fall — containers provided, cash or check only.
