This is the multi-block version of Grand Junction's Thursday evening market, stretching along Main Street from 3rd to 7th through the summer, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. (8 p.m. after late August). Grand Junction's downtown Thursday market has run under a few names over the years, including this Downtown Farmers' Market Festival branding. It draws an estimated 5,000 visitors on a good evening, running from 5:30 p.m. until dusk through the summer along Main Street, with a dedicated tent near 4th and Main that accepts SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks vouchers.

The Farm and Ranch Market ran for more than 35 years in the Teller Arms Shopping Center parking lot before a new Save-A-Lot forced it out; it now operates at the Cross Orchards Historic Site on F Road. Fruita's market claims the corner of Peach and Aspen Avenue every Saturday, June through late October, 8:30 a.m. to noon. Growers like Clark Family Orchards and Kokopelli Farms Market bring Palisade peaches, apples, cherries, vegetables, and herbs, with live bands playing the Civic Center Park stage most weeks. It's free to attend, and SNAP and Double Up Food Bucks are accepted.

Palisade

Downtown Palisade shuts down 3rd and Main streets for this market, Sundays 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., from the first Sunday in June through the first Sunday in October. More than 100 vendors show up, but the real draw is Palisade peaches, Freestones and Redhavens starting in late July, grown by orchards like Z's, which has farmed here more than 50 years.
