12 Spies Vineyards ran a tasting room in Rabun Gap, Georgia for 14 years before closing it for good. The vines are still tended, and existing wine inventory is available through pickup in Georgia or shipping to addresses within the state — order by emailing the winery directly rather than visiting in person.

Hillside Orchard Farms has made small-batch jams, syrups, and preserves from its own fruit for more than 30 years in Rabun County, along Old Highway 441. The retail market, in nearby Lakemont, is open Monday and Thursday through Saturday 9 AM to 5 PM and Sunday 1 to 5 PM, with u-pick apples and blackberries, a corn maze, hayrides, and a gem mine on site.

Sanford and Liz Green planted Hightower Creek east of Hiawassee on Highway 76 around 2011, in the Blue Ridge foothills of the Upper Hiwassee Highlands. The tasting room deck looks over the vineyard and a pond, pouring both wine and mead. Live music plays Saturday afternoons from 2 to 5, and a rental cottage on the property lets visitors stay the night instead of driving the mountain roads home.

Blue Ridge Honey Company in Lakemont has been keeping bees since 1981 under Bob Binnie, whose beekeeping YouTube channel has made the operation famous among fellow beekeepers. The store on Highway 441 sells 100% raw, pure honey — Wildflower, Sourwood, Tupelo, Orange Blossom, Black Sage — plus beeswax, pollen, candles, live bees, and hive woodenware handcrafted in-house.

Chattooga Belle Farm sits just across the state line in Long Creek, South Carolina, in the Blue Ridge foothills near northeast Georgia. The 200-acre farm grows apples and berries, raises grass-fed Black Angus beef, and distills its own whiskey, vodka, and gin on-site.
