Vacaville

Sweet Pea's Pumpkin Patch is on Alamo Drive in Vacaville, Solano County, in the flat farmland between Sacramento and the Bay Area. Vacaville's warm Central Valley summers give way to a reliable fall pumpkin season, and the town runs several seasonal patches each October.

American Canyon

ABC Tree Farms runs this pumpkin patch and inflatable park on Broadway in American Canyon, built for kids ages 2 to 12 in the more urban stretch of the Bay Area. Fall brings pumpkin selection alongside giant inflatables and water slides; the same lot turns into a Christmas tree lot in December. Admission and parking are free.

Suisun City

The Western Railway Museum, a nonprofit rail-history museum in Suisun City since 1946, runs a vintage train out to Gum Grove Farm each fall for its Pumpkin Patch Festival. Cool Patch Pumpkins holds the Guinness World Record for the world's largest corn maze, hand-redesigned with a new theme every year on this family-run farm between Sacramento and San Francisco. Beyond the maze, visitors pick their own pumpkins and gourds, ride the hay wagon, and grab tri-tip sandwiches from the food stand. Open daily 9am to 8pm during fall season.

A Sonoma County regional park on land that was farmed for decades by the Cardoza family, who grew pumpkins here before the county acquired the property for public open space. The park now protects Tolay Lake itself, wetlands, and grassland trails between Petaluma and the Sonoma Valley, with that farming history part of what the site's interpretive programs cover.
